Day 1: Diani Beach – Tsavo East National Park
Your safari begins with an early departure from Diani Beach in your private safari Land Cruiser. Travel towards Tsavo East National Park and enter the park for your first game drive. Explore the vast red-earth landscapes in search of elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes and zebras. Continue to Satao Camp for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Full-Day Tsavo East Safari
Spend a full day exploring Tsavo East with morning and afternoon game drives. Discover the park’s expansive wilderness and visit areas where wildlife gathers around water sources. Look out for Tsavo’s famous red elephants, as well as lions, leopards, buffalo, giraffes and a variety of birdlife. Return to Satao Camp for dinner and your second night in Tsavo East.
Day 3: Tsavo East – Tsavo West National Park
Enjoy an early morning game drive before breakfast, followed by a journey towards Tsavo West National Park. The scenery changes as you enter a landscape of volcanic hills, lava flows and woodland. Visit Mzima Springs, where clear underground waters provide a habitat for hippos and crocodiles, before continuing to Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Tsavo West – Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive through Tsavo West before travelling towards Amboseli National Park. Arrive in Amboseli and enjoy an afternoon game drive beneath the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro. The park is renowned for its large elephant herds and open plains. Continue to Ol Tukai Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Amboseli – Masai Mara by Flight
Wake up early for a morning game drive in Amboseli, offering another opportunity to see elephants and other wildlife with Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. Return for breakfast before transferring to the airstrip for your flight to the Masai Mara. On arrival, meet your safari guide and enjoy a game drive en route to Mara Legends Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Full-Day Masai Mara Safari
Spend a full day exploring the Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. The reserve is home to an exceptional variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, giraffes and zebras. Explore the sweeping savannahs and, depending on the season, areas around the Mara River. Return to Mara Legends Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Full-Day Masai Mara Safari
Enjoy another full day of game viewing in the Masai Mara. Explore different areas of the reserve and look for the Big Five alongside the many other species that inhabit the Mara ecosystem. Depending on the season, you may also witness the movement of wildebeest and zebra during the Great Migration. Return to camp for your final night in the Mara.
Day 8: Masai Mara – Diani Beach
Enjoy an early morning game drive for one final opportunity to experience the Masai Mara. Return to camp for breakfast before transferring to the airstrip for your flight back towards the coast. Continue with your onward transfer to Diani Beach, arriving later in the day and bringing your eight-day Kenya safari to an end.
