Day 1: Diani Beach – Amboseli National Park
Depart Diani Beach in the morning and travel towards Amboseli National Park, passing through the changing landscapes of Kenya’s countryside. Arrive in Amboseli in time for lunch before heading out for your first game drive. With Mount Kilimanjaro providing a spectacular backdrop, keep an eye out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo and other wildlife before returning to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Full-Day Amboseli Safari
Spend a full day exploring Amboseli National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. The park is renowned for its large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Explore the open plains and wetlands, where you may encounter lions, cheetahs, buffalo, hippos, giraffes and a variety of birdlife. Return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Amboseli – Tsavo West National Park
After breakfast, leave Amboseli and travel towards Tsavo West National Park. Enter the park and enjoy a game drive en route to your accommodation. After lunch, explore the surrounding wilderness on an afternoon game drive. Depending on time, visit Mzima Springs, a lush oasis famous for its clear waters, hippos and crocodiles. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Tsavo West.
Day 4: Tsavo West – Tsavo East National Park
Enjoy an early morning game drive through Tsavo West before breakfast. Continue towards Tsavo East, travelling through some of Kenya’s most dramatic landscapes. After entering Tsavo East, enjoy a game drive as you make your way towards your lodge or camp. Look out for the park’s famous red elephants, as well as lions, buffalo, giraffes and zebras. Dinner and overnight in Tsavo East.
Day 5: Full-Day Tsavo East Safari
Spend the day exploring the vast wilderness of Tsavo East with morning and afternoon game drives. Visit areas around Aruba Dam and the Galana River, where wildlife often gathers. Explore the park’s distinctive red-earth landscapes and keep watch for elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, giraffes, zebras and numerous bird species. Return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Tsavo East – Diani Beach
Enjoy an early morning game drive, offering one final opportunity to see wildlife in the beautiful morning light. Return for breakfast before checking out and beginning the journey back towards Diani Beach. Arrive later in the day, bringing your six-day safari through Amboseli, Tsavo West and Tsavo East to an end.
